November 2025 – Shopbox POS 2.7.0

This update introduces new features, smoother workflows and a wide set of fixes across Shopbox POS, Mobile and integrations. Here’s the full overview.

Summary

This update improves overall POS stability, printing reliability, and order flow consistency. Key issues with categories, modifiers, discounts, VAT, tables, and mPOP printing have been resolved. Mobile usability has been refined with clearer layouts, more reliable actions, and an improved PIN screen. The result is a smoother, more consistent POS experience across devices.

Bug fixes

  • Resolved a problem that caused the print queue to stall, now all print jobs process reliably.

  • Addressed a limitation where categories could not be selected when creating a product from POS while being on a custom filter.

  • Ensured kitchen prints are produced even when previous print logs contain failed attempts from disconnected printers.

  • Adjusted the keyboard behaviour so it no longer overlaps the note input field for products with variants and modifiers

  • Fixed a print-flow error that affected order prints when using mPOP receipt printers.

  • Ensured item-level discounts are saved correctly when editing restaurant table orders containing products with modifiers.

  • Corrected VAT calculations on POS receipts when modifiers apply mixed tax rates.

  • Restored the ability to open categories from Search in Counter in the POS.

  • Added the missing cancellation print when rejecting an accepted incoming order.

  • Ensured the change amount prints correctly on receipts when using mPOP printers.

  • Resolved Nets Cloud onboarding problems where first login and first payment attempts required an app restart.

  • Corrected a POS flow where the Place Order button failed to appear for the next sale after completing a previous order.

  • Fixed table-state behaviour so items turn green after “Send” or “Send & Run” even when “Show table plan after sending to kitchen” is disabled.

  • Prevented duplicate kitchen prints when “Show table plan after sending to kitchen” is deactivated.

  • Cleaned product naming so default variant values no longer appear as part of the product name in Counter.

  • Stabilized scanner behaviour so connections persist after app restart when using scanners connected via printers.

  • Adjusted Degas/Zamalek logic so order prints correctly show Takeaway rather than “Dine in” for Pay-Now takeaway orders.

  • Restored the ability to log in with PIN in offline mode and prevented unwanted auto-logout events.

  • Corrected the table-layout behaviour where newly created tables reverted to their default positions if multiple tables were added without saving between actions.

Overall improvements:

  • Enhanced the POS long-press product view so tags and their corresponding tag categories are now displayed accurately and consistently.

Mobile improvements:

  • Refined the mobile layout to prevent the “Add to basket” button from becoming distorted for products with variants or modifiers.

  • Improved the mobile search experience so the keypad can now be minimized while searching in Counter.

  • Eliminated a mobile behaviour where moving items between tables triggered the “Sorry, someone won the race” error.

  • Ensured the Economy Dashboard graph loads correctly on small devices when accessed from the POS.

  • Ensured “Pay now” and “Place order” buttons appear consistently on mobile screens.

  • Redesign of PIN screen that adapts to small screens
