Enable automatic assignment of SKU codes and barcodes

In this guide, we will explain how to automatically let Shopbox generate SKU codes and barcodes when creating new products.

Would you like to use SKU codes and/or barcodes?

Shopbox can automatically generate them for you every time products are created or imported into Shopbox.

How to enable automatic SKU code and barcode assignment

The first step is to log in to my.shopbox.com

Then follow these steps in the Shopbox menu:

1. Go to Store Settings in the menu on the left

2. Under Store Settings, click Products in the submenu at the top right

Enable SKU code

At the bottom of the Products page, you will find the setting that allows Shopbox to automatically generate and assign a SKU code to new products.

Here you can also view and change the next SKU number.

Enable barcode

Just below the SKU setting, you will find the option to automatically generate and assign a barcode to new products created in Shopbox.

Congratulations! You have now activated automatic generation and assignment of SKU codes and barcodes when new products are created in Shopbox.
