February 2026: Shopbox POS 2.8.4

In this version, you get a range of fixes and improvements that make the POS more stable in everyday use. Especially for split payments, printing from multiple registers, and handling customers and staff.

Bug fixes

Payments

  • Fixed calculations for split payments with uneven division, so all amounts always balance correctly.

Printing and printers

  • Stabilized printing across multiple registers so print jobs are sent to the correct printer more reliably.

  • Fixed duplicate entries in the printer list when setting up printer groups.

  • Removed duplicates on production or kitchen prints when gift cards are used.

  • Improved reliability of printing gift card receipts and gift card information.

Customers and staff

  • Fixed the staff window so it no longer minimizes or closes during staff creation and editing.

  • Fixed a white screen when updating staff details in POS.

  • Fixed customer changes so they now appear immediately in the “Attach customer” list.

Items and discounts

  • Ensured products marked as closed for discount can never receive item level discounts.

  • Fixed sold out status so it no longer resets after refresh, preventing accidental sales.

Mobile and stability

  • Fixed mobile errors when scanning or searching for a receipt.

  • Improved barcode scanning for assigned barcodes, especially during rapid scans where items could previously show as not found.

  • Fixed errors after the app has been minimized or the device has been asleep.

  • Fixed a race condition in Adyen where Cancel and Fast Pay could result in lost transactions.

General improvements

  • Added a warning when a parked order contains an item marked as sold out.

  • Improved printer setup for devices with built in printers. You can now find them under a “Built in” section, for example Landi C20, M20, and N950.

  • Made basket discount easier to tap and use on small mobile screens
