What’s required to set up an accounting integration?
First and foremost, you’ll need an active Billy subscription. Please note that not all Billy plans include access to create an integration with your accounting system.
To integrate with Shopbox, you’ll need at least the Billy Plus plan.

Choose your preferred integration type
The next step is to decide which type of integration suits your business. Your choice depends on your needs and workflow.
If you don’t have an accounting background and just want to focus on running your business, choosing the right setup can be tricky. That’s why we’ve prepared a few questions to help you:
-
Should your daily revenue from Shopbox be transferred to one single account—or split across your product categories?
-
Do you use one or multiple VAT rates?
-
Do you want to keep the number of entries in Billy to a minimum—or does that not matter to you?
Integration Type: Simple
Denne integrationsopsætning overfører din omsætning til én samlet konto i din kontoplan.
Choose this type if:
✅ You want your Shopbox revenue transferred to one single account
✅ You use only one VAT rate
✅ You want to minimize the number of entries in Billy
If this sounds like the right fit for you, see how to set it up here.
Integration Type: Simple Multiple Categories
This setup allows you to assign a specific account to each product category in Shopbox. Revenue is transferred line by line to Billy, which means this setup will generate more entries.
Choose this type if:
✅ You have several revenue accounts and want to track sales per product category in Billy
✅ You use multiple VAT rates
✅ You want more detailed financial reporting
If this sounds like the right solution for you, see how to set it up here.
