The different types of integrations
What’s required to set up an accounting integration?
To integrate Dinero with Shopbox, you need an active Dinero subscription.
Note that not all subscription types include access to integrations. You must have at least a Dinero Pro subscription.
If you’re unsure what your subscription includes, you can contact Dinero’s support or check their pricing page here.
In addition, you’ll need a Shopbox Plus subscription to activate the integration from Shopbox.
If you’re unsure what’s included in your Shopbox subscription, you’re always welcome to contact our support or read more here.
How to get started with your accounting integration
Before you can activate the integration, you’ll need your Customer ID and an API token from Dinero.
You can find a guide on how to do that here.
Choose your preferred integration setup
The next step is to choose the integration type that best suits your business.
Here, it’s important to consider your workflows and how much detail you need in your bookkeeping.
If you don’t have an accounting background, it can be tricky to decide. That’s why we’ve listed a few questions to help you reflect:
-
Do you want your revenue transferred to one single account – or split by product category?
-
Do you use only one VAT rate – or several?
-
Do you want as few entries in Dinero as possible – or do you need a detailed breakdown?
Integration Type: Simple
With this integration type, your total daily revenue is transferred to one account in your chart of accounts.
Choose this type if:
✅ You want all Shopbox revenue transferred to one account
✅ You use only one VAT rate
✅ You want to minimize the number of entries in Dinero
If this sounds like the right integration type for you, you can see how to set it up here.
Integration Type: Simple Multiple Categories
This integration type allows you to select a specific account for each of your product categories in Shopbox.
That means revenue is transferred line by line to Dinero – resulting in more entries.
Choose this type if:
✅ You have multiple revenue accounts and want an overview per product category in Dinero
✅ You use multiple VAT rates
✅ You want detailed bookkeeping in Dinero
If this sounds like the right solution for you, see how to set it up here.
