  • The different integration types

What’s required to have an accounting integration?

First of all, you’ll need an e-conomic subscription. Please note that not all subscription types allow integrations.

To integrate e-conomic with Shopbox, you must have at least the Plus plan in e-conomic.

If you’re unsure what your plan includes, you can contact e-conomic support or check their pricing page here.

You’ll also need a Shopbox Plus subscription to set up the integration from the Shopbox side.

If you’re unsure what your Shopbox plan includes, feel free to contact our support or read more here.

How to get started with your accounting integration

Choose your preferred integration setup

There are different factors that may influence your choice of integration – such as your daily workflows, accounting level, and need for detailed bookkeeping.

If you’re not from an accounting background and just want to keep track of your business, the choice can be tricky. That’s why we’ve gathered some guiding questions to help:

  • Should your revenue be transferred to one single account, or split by product category?

  • Do you use one VAT rate – or several?

  • Do you prefer fewer entries in e-conomic, or is detailed bookkeeping more important to you?

Integration type: Simple

This integration transfers your total daily revenue to one single account in your chart of accounts.

Choose this if:

✅ You want all Shopbox revenue posted to one account

✅ You only use one VAT rate

✅ You want the fewest possible entries in e-conomic

Integration type: Simple Multiply Category

This integration allows you to post revenue by product category – so each Shopbox category lands on its own account in e-conomic.

Note: This setup will result in more entries, as revenue is split per line.

Choose this if:

✅ You have multiple cost accounts and want category-level insights in e-conomic

✅ You use multiple VAT rates

✅ You want more detailed and structured bookkeeping in e-conomic
